That work you need to do, the most important of all.

That work you need to do, the most important of all.
Originally published as "el Trabajo interno" (the inner work) for Novedades Miami Magazine, in February 2016.

Breathe... Breathe as deeply as you can, yes, this is the introduction, and we start with the most important step of all, breathing, that which we all do unconsciously, we do it so much, that we no longer appreciate it, we make it look so easy, that we forget of something important, that the simple fact of breathing, even unconsciously while you sleep, is what keeps you alive, so take a moment to thank, and breathe.

Breathe as deep as you can, and enjoy your breathing, let the air that fills your lungs take you to imagine mountains and rivers, valleys and meadows, close your eyes while you breathe and visualize them in full detail, because those images that come to you Mind in full color, they do not belong to you, they got there with the air and the wind, and as you breathe, that same air that has traveled kilometers to reach you, brings with it the aroma of the mountains, the sea breeze and the sound that it comes off the feathers on the wings of the birds, it is all contained in every breath you take and let go, and you are not realizing it, because you are busy, or at least you think, you think you are busy with something, More importantly, you believe that something more important than the fact of being alive is happening, and you do not realize it, because your body continues to do it unconsciously.

You have not realized that thousands and millions of things are happening right now, and yes, all those millions of things that are moving around you have to do with you, they happen around you, but you do not see it, and you have completely forgotten to return to your center, but the most curious thing is that the air, that same air that you breathe, that you do not know from which river or sea it comes, that air knows which is your center, and as you breathe, that air comes to you, enters your body, travel to your center, and returns outward, but you ignore it, you ignore this process because you are assuming that being alive is something important, and you do not perceive what is important What is it.

Every time you have the opportunity, or whenever you feel it necessary, close your eyes, take a deep breath, and go back to your center, and do it again, repeat as many times as you consider necessary, and from there, from your center, start again. And if you have any doubts about finding your center, feel that air that enters your lungs and lets it take you to your center, let yourself be guided by the air with each breath.

One of the big mistakes that we make as a society is that we spend more time paying attention to what is happening outside than to everything that is happening inside, and yes, the news about everything that is happening in the world is important, and Yes, your actions or lack thereof, can contribute greatly to what happens on a day-to-day basis, but just as you pay vital attention day by day, to all the news of what is happening around you, you should also pay much attention, to all those changes that are occurring, or even worse, ceasing to occur within you.

Fears and personal childhood traumas that have not healed, painful experiences from a long time ago that are still there, growing, evolving, adapting your way of thinking, feelings of guilt and regret that you have not overcome, imaginary conversations that never happened, dreams that only ended up becoming frustrations, often due to fear of "what will they say".

There are thousands of daily thoughts moving in your head, this happens literally every day, and we are so busy dealing with the outside world, "what clothes will I look best in the presentation?", "What to eat to look slimmer?", "What is the best angle for the photo?”, that while we are more focused on these superficial ones, a whole internal world is manifesting outside, our entire inner world has begun to show itself outside, through insecurities, contempt, and mistreatment towards other people, through the constant negative comparisons that we make between some people and others, through so many ways, that we do not realize, neither the damage that we are doing to others, nor the damage that we have, and which, with We continue to aggravate each of these acts, more and more, a little more each day.

And that is why it is so important to breathe, once you breathe, not unconsciously, but, when you take a moment, five minutes, to breathe and close your eyes, at that moment you are present, for a single moment, but a valuable moment. the whole world stops for you, the muscles relax, your aura balances its colors, your energy recharges, and during that moment it is not about what is happening around you, it is about you and your interior, no from your environment.

For that single moment in which you consciously choose to breathe, you are returning to your center, you are recharging your strength, you are letting your mind take a few valuable minutes of rest to stop focusing on external work, and start working on the internal one, in what really matters, in what you have inside, that after all, that which is within you, that which you know and that which you have experienced, everything that you have learned, or that you are learning and that you can teach, all this is the only thing that really belongs to you and nobody else, everything else could be taken from you by other people, governments and banks, but that which is in your head, right there where you spend most of the time, that will it belongs to you and only you, and nobody else.

So remember to breathe, breathe consciously, stop what you are doing for a minute and breathe, no matter what you are doing or where you are, embrace this moment and make it yours, and take this moment to understand that you are one with the air that is moving in and out of your lungs, and you are one with the world, just as the whole world is only one with you.

And every time you breathe, you close your eyes and go back to your center, for that one moment, you understand that you are part of something bigger, and you understand that all this that lives inside you, must be healed because once you heal your interior, it is only a matter of time so that all this manifests itself also on your exterior.

Healing with the Mother Goddess + Natural recipes for you.

A POST FOR TIMES OF ADVERSITY

Healing with the Mother Goddess/Mother Earth
+ Energy visualization exercise
+ Recipes to boost your immune system.

Greetings and Hugs to all the readers who walk around here. You will have noticed that our world is changing and facing these complex times of adversity, it is a time when we depend more on ourselves and on our own effort than on the efforts of governments and political leaders, the power to overcome this adversity is not in their hands, but in our own hands.

In times of adversity, faith, hope, and work in unity are our first allies, that is why we must focus our efforts on it during these times. Because without faith in what we do, without hope in what we can achieve and without the valuable power of teamwork, it is quite difficult to achieve our goals, especially when they are aimed at something that goes beyond us.

I am not going to take sides here criticizing the actions of any individual, each one decides how to take care of himself and in what way to do it, if you believe that the best thing is isolation and nothing else, good for you, if you believe that filling your bed with Crystals is the best for you, good for you, if you consider that the healthiest thing is to go outside with great care not to touch anything, good for you, if you consider that exercising in the sun is the best for you, Good for you, I am not a doctor or specialist to criticize anyone.

I'm just going to leave you here a couple of tips that I personally think you could apply to your personal care routine, and from my heart, I hope they are useful to you.

Faith in the Goddess and the old religion.

Faith in the Goddess is not something new as many believe, the old Indo-European cults believed in a matriarchal society where the woman (the life-giver) was the incarnation of the Mother Goddess in our world, but the reconstruction of the goddess in our Times, thanks to Wicca and Neo-paganism, has helped a lot to promote their cult in the current times.

While the male God is more associated with wild animals, the sun and daylight, hunting and the impulse that creates life (as well as sperm), the Mother Goddess, or Moon Goddess, is linked to plants. and the depth of the forests, the moon and the cold nights, the movement, the evolution and the change that occurs in everything that has been created, as well as the ovule that ends up transforming its interior to give life to a new being.

The Goddess is the healer par excellence, and while the father God (through the sun) nourishes the plants and herbs that we use for our medicines, it is the mother Goddess who teaches us the process of healing and use through these plants.

Except for its association with the moon, perhaps more modern thanks to Wicca, the mother goddess has always been more associated with the earth, the rivers, the mountains, while the god has been associated in Amerindian and European cults with the sky, the sun, and the stars as if in some way the God were the human body, the Goddess would be the precious heart that beats in its center and on which everything depends.

That is why at this time I share a ritual (not complicated) to channel the healing energy of the Goddess and her blessings, below, I share with you two tips that I like to do at home to boost the immune system.

Healing Ritual with the Mother / Mother Earth Goddess

You need

  • A white candle (purification)
  • A red candle (activation and strength)
  • A Green Candle (Healing and Earth Energy)
  • Peppermint, peppermint or basil incense
  • A bowl half full with a mixture of clean soil and a little salt
  • A glass with water
  • Rose petals

Process

In daylight hours (after sunrise and before sunset), clean and organize a space to carry out this ritual.

Close your eyes, breathe deeply and slowly several times feeling that you are connecting with something greater than you, a force greater than you, a force older and wiser than you. Now with your mind's eye visualize a halo of white light that is externalized through your skin, from the feet this halo of light is externalized through your skin and rises throughout your body to your head.

Once this halo of light has completely covered your body, take one more deep breath, inhale slowly, hold the air inside you for a few seconds, and now slowly open your eyes, as you do so, exhale that air from within you, and Visualize that halo of white light that has entirely covered you, expanding around you and covering all the space around you, now give this light shape, and visualize all this light forming a circle around you.

Visualize that this circle revolves around you forming a sacred, pure and protected space, this is your protected space, where you are healthy, safe and protected against all evil and against all adversity.

Now, without ceasing to visualize the halo of light, sit on the ground, spread the rose petals around you to symbolize nature, light the incense and the candles in front of you reciting:

“With each light that I light, a part of me heals, something in my environment heals, someone in my environment heals”.

Moisten your fingers with the water and proceed to spray it with your fingers around reciting:

"With each drop of water and each particle of light, I consecrate this space as a protected space and a sacred space."

Now pick up the earth and salt with your hands and use it to cover your hands and feet very carefully, reciting:
“With every gram of earth, I connect with it, with every gram of clean salt my connection with it, with every gram in I connect my hands and feet with it”.

Now close your eyes again, take a deep breath and recite:
"This sacred space is protected and blessed, because a part of the goddess dwells in it, a part of this space is mother, and that mother in this space is mother earth who takes care of me and protects me from the inside out ”.

Open your eyes, stand up, visualize the halo of energy coming back to you, coming back to you, integrating back to you, this sacred and healing energy returns to your interior, and now the healing power of mother earth resides in you, such and as it always has.

Let the candles and incense burn to the end, and then sweep the entire ritual east-west. Properly clean the space, and repeat this ritual whenever you want.

For your Immune system in times of crisis.

(Or for every day)

These are two fairly simple recipes that many perhaps know, the problem is that many know them but few put them into practice, I always recommend this to my readers because it is a very common recipe in my native country, and honestly, I think you do too. You should, and not just rely on powdered vitamins and pills.

Recipe #1

Fill a jar with drinking water, wash with cold water, and cut equal parts pineapple, cucumber, and ginger, add two sliced lemons, add all of this to the jug with water, and place in the fridge for about an hour.

You can drink it continuously as an accompaniment to meals and in the middle of the day.

Recipe #2

Boil water and brew three cups of green tea (unsweetened), add this to a large pitcher, and add slices of lemon, orange, and ginger, two tablespoons of honey (preferably organic), and top off the rest of the pitcher with hot water Mix well with a wooden spoon and store in the fridge.

Two glasses of this mixture a day will do wonders for your immune system.

Healing the Healers

Healing the Healers
A job that someone must clearly start doing.

This is one of those constant posts that I do simply to make catharsis on certain topics that seem complicated to me, and more importantly, I think it is always important to make clear my position on certain topics.

What is a Healer / Healer?

A healer is a person whose social function is to heal others, not only physically (doctors, nurses and herbalists), but also mentally, emotionally and spiritually (psychiatrists, psychologists, and priests), the profession of healers is quite old and practically native to the early days of man in Africa (the origin of mankind) being the first healers those first herbalists and doctors who learned day by day with proper practice.

With the advancement of humanity (technology, psychiatry, and medicine) the profession of healers has been greatly eclipsed in society for a long period of time, but this has not been a problem for it to re-establish itself again in the modern world.

  • The three kinds of Healers.

This is not an official list or anything like that, it is simply the personal guide that I maintain to distinguish the healers with whom I work and conduct workshops in a conventional way.

  • The physical healers.

From doctors and nurses to herbalists, acupuncturists and masseurs, people who try to heal a physical condition from each of these different points of view. Most of them study long workshops and courses in specialized academies to be able to carry out this worthy profession.

  • Empathic Healers

Psychologists, psychiatrists, and therapists, and even writers specialized in the subject who study the diseases, conditions, and contraindications of various methods and treatments, as well as traumas of origin, harmful or self-destructive beliefs, and all kinds of problems that must be resolved to through the strength and understanding of one's own mind as well as the dreams and individual experiences of each individual.

  • The holistic healers.

Here I like to include two different categories of individuals who seek to specialize in the study, and the practical application of the most traditional methods of healing, from the spiritual healing that is transmitted from generation to generation (yerbateros, witch doctor and shamans), and those Holistic healers who combine magic and shamanic work to confront a higher type of healing, which may well be very similar among them, such as the "carudaros" in Brazil, the monks healing Tibet, or those who specialize in healing through of various energetic methods, such as the laying on of hands, the energetic prayer and the inner cure.

What is the problem with this new wave of healers in Social media?

Although the work of healers today is once again having an impact due to the social recognition of mental illnesses and "ancestral traumas", this can easily lead to, and in fact is already doing (as is the case with witches), that it becomes a fashion trend of which many want to be part, and unfortunately, they take the fast route to do so, reading one or two articles of the wikipedia, with excerpts from certain books, and from there they begin a work of “spiritual healing” which lacks both fundamentals and experience, as well as knowledge and practice.

Many of these "Healers of the new wave" tend to gain attention through social networks, either by repeating the typical beautiful phrases of a Persian poet, or some famous Brazilian author of self-help books.

The problem with these inexperienced Healers is not only that their work focuses 100% on online courses and virtual workshops that lack entirely practical foundations, but also ruin the good image of the rest of the healers that we focus on Do a good job helping others. And if all the above were not enough, an inexperienced Healer does not know the basic principles of holistic medicine, so it is only a matter of time for his own generational traumas and emotional wounds to end up bleeding on the wounds of other people seeking healing and infecting those wounds with their inexperience.

"If a healer does not heal his own wounds first, it is only a matter of time before he begins to bleed on other people's wounds."

The self-healing

Self-healing is a curiously difficult process, no matter how much we talk about this issue it is always difficult to put into practice and many times our own ego does not let us carry it out properly, that is why the best way (at least for me) of Performing a good self-healing work is primarily in a group, it is an appropriate way to recognize those individual patterns that have not yet healed for one reason or another.

Healing yourself without a second opinion is just as appropriate as taking your own Tarot deck and seeing your future for yourself without the opinion or assistance of someone else, it is a stubborn and unnecessary work that usually does not lead to reaching good results.

The best way for a healer to be properly healed is that he first recognizes what are those emotional and spiritual patterns that are causing some damage, and after working properly on them, seek the support of a collaborator, someone who can provide a second opinion and that in some cases, can help you carry out a deeper and more complete healing.

While a healer does not stop bleeding his own wound, he will continue to show an open wound that infects others in each ritual act and in each healing session.

So you have to be very careful with these “commercial healers” who are really only looking for fame and making some extra money, copying the work worthy of others.
