Why I keep my blog in these times?

Why keep a blog in these times, even when you are "already an author"?

This question has been asked by several people lately, and generally, I try to avoid answering, but the truth, I have always tried to be honest about what I think, what I say and what I do.

Before having this blog my only contact with the rest of the people was a small page on MySpace where I published (with enormous difficulty) a ritual or a spell every week, in fact, it was the year 2005, and it was just on a MySpace page Where I found my first coven, back then in Caracas, Venezuela, and they organized events every week in various city parks, it was there that I began to relate to "witches of the city" as I like to call them, and I met at that time the world of Wicca and neopaganism.

But since long before I was already entering the world of magic and sorcery, only for me it was more about something familiar, and I believed from a very young age that it was something that each family practiced separately at home, it was not until The 13 years I understood (by my friend Jonathan) that this was not the case, and that on the contrary, we were a minority.

The origins

I came from having lived in a tiny town in Roraima, in the Amazon for about twelve years, on the border between Brazil and Venezuela, surrounded by healers, witch doctors, and ayahuasqueros. They took me to live in the capital city of Venezuela to send me to study four years at the military school, and after that, I attended a different school on the other side of the city before attending University.

When you go from having lived for so many years among people much older than you, essentially the elderly, and then you go from there to live in the big capital city, it is easy to feel overwhelmed by the people around you, mostly schoolchildren who are showing off their cell phones, collection brands of shoes and caps. Collating with them was not easy, so it didn't take long for me to become "the newbie", the one everyone wants to bully.

When you arrive in the city, the concept that you have there about magic and sorcery, or about shamanism is something very different, and certainly more superficial. Back then, Santeria and Palo Mayombe were a fashion in Venezuela, they were "something cool", in which everyone wanted to participate, and my family had been part of them from the beginning, so I saw this "fashion" as something hurtful.

Followed by this, in the city, no one looked for plants in the field or bathed in the rivers, they did not cook soup in an old cauldron on wood and wood at the edge of the river, nor did they celebrate every time they got quartz or some beautiful mineral that they could interpret as "a sign" from the spirits, or as "a gift" from the ancestors. Herbs, oils, and crystals are something you bought at the store or even from a catalog.

Shamanism and healing were somewhat more superficial, however, I was lucky to meet very good healers and witches in the city. Witchcraft was then more a fashion to follow, an excuse to look cool and meet on the weekends with "your coven", a path that called you from the inside, now it was a trend followed by people looking for a place where to feel at ease without being judged, many came there and discovered that this was their way, many others got there, just in passing, others saw this as the best way to make fame and money fast.

Social networks

Once I had my first account on (back then) MySpace and attended these meetings in the Yahoo groups, I learned something extremely important, a lesson that I have followed even to this day... It always seems to know nothing, acts with discretion, does not be the know-it-all, let them judge you, let them act in front of you, and let them teach you each in their own way, that is where you will see with your own eyes, who really knows what he is talking about, who is really there for learning, and who really got there by reading a couple of books and already sells himself as the last court messiah, and of those last ones, unfortunately, there were many.

Over time I learned to judge a little less because I discovered that in the big concrete city, you could also find great believers, pagans, clairvoyants, witches and "modern shamans", who were not superficial fools because of living in the city, On the contrary, they took advantage of this as a huge advantage to teach classes, teach others, organize rituals online, create digital groups, and even held small conventions in a popular cafe to exchange esoteric books and share opinions.

Over time I got to know the internet blogs, and from there everything changed, it was my friend who recommended creating a blog and writing there every week, my personal rituals, my book recommendations, which rituals had worked and which did not, and what was my point of view about it, like “Today I used the invocation ritual of this book, and it didn't work as I expected, but maybe it is due to…”, and my blog in Spanish was always very popular.

Years later I began to write a blog in English, and since then I have kept my space, as a safe and free space to comment, free of judgments, because the Haters do not get in here to read, much less to respond, the brain does not It gives them for this, they are so busy promoting their hatred on Twitter and Instagram that they do not "waste their time" in coming to read me, so this is still a safe space, where I can connect freely, without editions, without intermediaries, without filters, directly with my readers.

The best thing about having a personal blog, and not one of those “business blogs” with many different authors talking about a single topic, is that here I can freely express my opinions, and without having to think “this will not please my editor "," This is not in accordance with the theme of the blog "," if I publish this, another author may be angry ". The truth is that my blog in English receives an average of 900 readers daily, even on days when I do not publish anything, and yes, I know that is a low number for the "standards of today", but for me Knowing that my blog is read by so many people daily is fascinating and quite motivating.

This also means that there are 900 other people out there who connect with me and who share the same experiences, who know that here they will read about real magic, real magic, not "Instagram magic", where all spells look like magazine pictures, where healing does not look like a beautiful path of pain-free illumination, where the gods are beings of enormous power who can act in your favor or against you.

This is a space free of egos and full of hard work, do you want your spell of results? Go and work for it, because if you believe that magic is the fast way to get things, you are in the wrong place. Here we do not join the new fashion of saying "the gods are only archetypes and your powers are superior because you are light and blah, blah blah" ... Those are arguments of "Plastic Witches".

The "plastic witches" are people who spend the full moon eating Doritos and watching Netflix, while they tell you with a beautiful Instagram photograph "use the energy of this moon to meditate deeply, walk through the forest under the light of the stars and bathe naked in a river ”, this is not (Thank God for it) one of those spaces full of superficial witches who do not practice magic with blood because they fear an infection, or who do not know the incredible healing properties of the earth from the cemetery because "everything is energy and you just have to visualize it".

And I'm not saying (and I've never said it) that witches should all celebrate the full moon, prick their fingers with a needle or eat raw meat of a deer on a new moon to regenerate their power, no. The problem is not their conception of magic and witchcraft, the problem is that they sell you something that they themselves do not practice, like those who say "witchcraft is a path of spirituality to help you connect with yourself", but they are more focused on "looking cool" and "looking dark badass witches" than really being.

And it is very unfortunate that the most popular members of our community, spend most of the time accusing the followers of the predominant religions, for being "highly superficial and commercial", when at the end of the day, they are exactly a reflection of this that they criticize.

And it is for all these reasons that I maintain my blog, and will continue to maintain it for more years, no matter what happens, because if you are looking to practice real magic, not only “magic that seems cool to boast”, but you really want Contacting the other side, you want to practice that unusual power you have to see the future, enter the world of dreams, or move between worlds while you sleep, I want you to know and be sure that you are not alone, and that there is another huge group of people like you out there ready to connect with you, and there is a blogger with poor spelling ready to answer each and every one of your emails, publishing books from time to time with some spells, and learning new rituals every day that you die for sharing with you.

And do yourself a favor, when you read a spell or a ritual, and you want to practice it, do it, don't stop doing it, don't let fear or laziness win you, go and do it, you don't know how powerful he is world of sorcery when you give it a real chance beyond what is written in the books.

Between theory and practice, my own experience with astral travel.

Between theory and practice, my own experience with astral travels.

Hello everyone, for years I have gathered in my email many emails related to this subject, in a folder titled "to respond", but I always forget to do it and I continue working on other things, a couple of days ago, doing a review and cleaning From my email, I found this folder full and decided to respond to one of the topics that I talk about most of the time in my Blog and in my books, but I have clearly never given an appropriate emphasis for everyone's comprehension.

In this Post, I extend a little, but I hope to answer all your questions.

This is a very complicated issue to explain and share, especially because for many it is a truly difficult practice to perform, never impossible, but it can take years, perhaps as in a couple of cases that I know very closely, you can take one or two decades of daily and constant practice. All of the above without mentioning that for each one the learning cycle, as well as the development of their own technique, can take different directions and forms.

While this is a subject that is mentioned in most books of magic and esoteric content, although only in a very subtle way, in many other books apparently "specialized" in the subject of astral travel, treat it as something very precise and punctual, leaving aside the inexperience of the reader and focusing (perhaps too much) on the theory that reviews astral travel, although dedicating only a few pages to individual practice.

Although the majority of individuals dedicated to the study of mysticism, dominates a vague concept about astral travel, there are few and perhaps very few, the individuals who are really dedicated to putting it into practice, some for lack of information, others for fear to the constant warnings that are given to us in this respect (many of them very realistic) and many other people because they simply do not see interest in spending years practicing something they do not know if it will finally turn out or what purpose it will have.

In my case, it took me exactly 9 years before I was really able to take a truly conscious astral trip, before that, I had years of study and practice with different teachers and taking a little extra information from each book that came to my hands. , but these trips were mostly well-led lucid dreams that concrete astral journeys.

At home this is a topic that is commonly spoken, my parents and my sisters see in the practice of astral travel a form of family tradition that they hope to keep as alive as possible, my grandmother and my mother share this gift, they do so almost intuitive, for the sisters of my mother is a rather complicated subject, they do not seem to have been born with the same quality for the magical arts, nor with the interest in developing them.

My mother, according to what my grandmother usually tell, began to have lucid dreams since she was very young, and during her adolescence it was common to find her faint or completely asleep in the patio of the house, she spoke clearly while she slept and had long conversations, but when he woke up he did not remember much of what happened.
Mother states that for a long period of time of several years, between her first pregnancy and the second, these lucid dreams became less frequent, much less spontaneous, but after her second pregnancy (the first baby with her current husband, my Father), she returned in some way to these same dreams, affirms that these became more continuous and even clearer, sometimes as clear as the reality of our plane, the world of the living.

And it was during the break of this second pregnancy, when she moved to the capital city that the first books about unfolding, lucid dreams and astral projection came to her hands, resulting to her a total surprise that something that she believed so secret, so intimate, It was part of popular magic and even of movies and many novels.

From here she starts a period of constant study and development of this skill, combining the little she had learned during her childhood with what many authors affirm in their books, in their own words, many of them do not really know what They are talking, but a few have a pretty clear idea of what really happens during these astral journeys.

Her third and fourth maternity periods were spent studying, working and dedicating herself completely to the practice of different forms of magic and less traditional witchcraft, she introduced herself to spiritualism, umbanda, santería, Palo Monte, and experimented a lot inside of the Yoruba culture, I travel constantly to Africa, Brazil, and Cuba, and whenever I returned, I repeated "I was watching them very closely, for that reason I did not call by phone".

I spent my entire adolescence studying the manuals and journals that she kept in her library, not in that huge library of two walls, located between the corridor to the bathroom and the corridor to my bedroom, full of neatly arranged books, interspersed with novels, books of economy and history, inspiration manuals and multiple different editions of esoteric books, no, definitely not from that library.

I was much more interested in really delving into the subject, I went in search of that small private library inside his bedroom, a tall, thin cabinet with drawers just two meters from his bed, full of notebooks completely handwritten, diaries full of spells, formulas and enchantments, old diaries with some notes of my grandparents, a recipe for herbal medicine that my Aunt Rosa wrote thinking it would be a good manual for stores, but never dared to publish with a publisher, and many, literally many books that you would never see in a popular library or in the furniture of some stores.

Huge books in small editions, printed under the imprints of different countries, covers only two colors and letters so small they are barely visible, truly filled with magic books, books by authors who really knew what he was talking, and That reason she retained them, and still retains them, as close to her as she can, away from the light, perfectly hidden in her bedroom, away from the visits and from any curious stranger to the family.

In these books you can discover all sorts of spells that many modern authors do not dare to share with the public, from extracted oils from the skin of different animals in order to increase different magical powers, and herbal concoctions anointed with a few drops of blood a sorcerer to perform rituals of protection, night flying and hypnosis, to spells based on sigils that are drawn at night in the skin using a special dye to get the controversial power (perhaps unimaginable to many) of invisibility or also strengthen the conscious mind during astral travel.

And the latter was the most interesting, which explained to you entirely the origin of this power and the different ways to use them, with the constant practice of these spells and different rituals you could have clearer and more constant lucid dreams, then turn these lucid dreams into journeys aware of the spiritual world, crossing veils, planes and worlds that escape the imagination of many, although perhaps not as psychedelic and interesting as science fiction raises, but you can also find in these huge volumes the formula for unfolding in the real world and thus be physically and mentally present in more than one place at a time.

The first few times I tried it was really complicated, tracing a huge circle on the ground with a mixture of certain dried herbs and oils that should be sprayed together in a small ceramic dish, I remember it took weeks to get all the plants in different stores and I kept them hanging with a red thread from the window of my bedroom so that they dried in the sunlight and picked them up every evening after returning from school because according to several manuals, if only once these plants remain before the wind Cold after sunset, they could no longer be used in the ritual.

These were very complex rituals and with an extensive series of specifications so clear, that it would bore anyone, after so long you learned that it was easier than it seems, and it was only complicated, if you thought it really was, it was better a matter of time and calm, spending whole days memorizing the spells and verses you would use to communicate with other sorcerers and entities that you could find on the other side of the veil, writing these spells on the backs of my school notebooks to memorize them , performing every morning a series of stretches, invocations and exercises that ensured, help me to align my energy and balance my spirit, without which astral travel would only result in a simple lucid dream outside the body and for a minimum period of time.

The first three times I remember them perfectly, only I was deeply asleep during the ritual, and woke up hours later totally exhausted, feeling that I would not have slept in days, I took my notebook and wrote "absolutely nothing happened".

The next eleven times, with intervals of one week between each attempt, I began to have deep dreams, each time clearer, I heard very strange noises in each dream, noises similar to a drill piercing the wall, wanting to wake up unable to do so, visualized all around me like pictures on a wall, but they were walls so high that I could never see the ceiling, it seemed more like I was at the bottom of a deep tunnel, it was cold, so cold that in my own inexperience, the following times I performed the ritual, I made sure to have more and more clothes and a better sweater, after some time I noticed that this did not change anything at all.

But in each of these times, while I visualized those photos that changed on the wall, and I felt the faces of everyone in the portraits turning to look at me, I heard voices around me, many saying "go on, do not get distracted", others saying " Get out of here, be careful, get away from here ", on each and every occasion, I saw how a strange black spot appears on the floor, then the stain, looking like black ink, began to move in front of my eyes, It spread all over the floor, the disturbing noise grew louder and louder, and suddenly the stain was trying to climb my feet, and I felt that it touched me, I felt as the skin began to burn and itch at the same time.

I woke up a few seconds later, and always saw waking the little feet of someone standing in front of me, just blinking or closing my eyes for a second, my feet disappear in front of me, and I was alone in the room.

I got up as fast as I could to clean and collect everything, trying not to have problems with Mama, but the last of those times, specifically the last two, I woke up and after seeing those little feet in front of me, I turned to the other side and there my mother was with an indescribable face of anger, every occasion with a different gift, she forced me to clean my mess and she returned to her room, during the rest of the day she acted as if nothing.

A week after the second argument with her, just when she thought "if I try again I will be punished... For life, "I came home, I found her taking a cup of hot tea and knitting as usual, I left my notebooks on the table, and upon entering the room, I find a great surprise, one of those notebooks in his library was on my bed, one of the ones I did not dare to grasp, because I saw it as something very sacred to her, because she personally wove and embroidered a cover with threads and lace of white and silver around, so I thought that It must be something related to his marriage, he saw it as something very personal.

When I opened it, I found that the first pages were written in common black ink, but in a language that I could vaguely understand, and overwritten, on each line, on each sentence, on each verse of those wrinkled and old pages, was the translation In Spanish, in the handwriting of my mother, and in some more in-depth pages, there were notes perfectly made with a letter that could never be confused, the lyrics of Neyiber, just the oldest of my sisters, she has always had a spelling and calligraphy impeccable

Several pages of the notebook were marked with symbols and stickers, and part of the notebook was held with a paper and several pins, and had written with the letter of my sister "Elo, start from here, the rest should not be anything new for you ", while I was laughing I just thought, if my mother is in the living room and my sister lives a few floors above, because they did not deliver this to me personally ?, but then I remembered that both tend to be quite theatrical, maybe very dramatic, Especially my sister, also my family has always been somewhat cold in that aspect, in all discussions you hear the phrase "everyone has to solve their problems without bothering anyone else", something cold, but it is and always has been.

So I took the notebook, I prepared a bathroom, I chose fairly comfortable clothes, I burned some sage in the bedroom, I closed doors and windows, I did all the previous ritual, I boiled the herbal tea as always, and I made some modifications, just as the notebook recommended.

Replace the rosemary in the circle with basil and mint, instead of placing salt in the corners, place a small dish with camphor tablets that should be burned just a few minutes before nightfall, draw a much wider circle of protection, place me a lot less clothes, I took off all the rings, bracelets, necklaces, and only had with me a white ribbon with seven knots in it tied at the ankles, a recommendation from my sister in the notebook to prevent that strange black larva in the limb touched me again.

Note, if you want to understand a little more about these larvae of the astral plane, I recommend you read the previous post about the use of magic circles.

I anointed myself almost the whole body with the same usual combination of oils, and followed one of the most curious and simple recommendations of the notebook, along with the magic sigil that was to be drawn on the arm before the execution of the spell, draw a small crescent moon, the symbol that my grandmother's tribe has always considered as her own, and which recognizes them as witches within the tribe, and I burn a piece of parchment paper with my name written on it, I burn it with the fire of the camphor, and let it burn, according to the annotations, this consecrates the ritual space in my name, and thus avoid that my body could leave the circle being used by some other different spirit.

It was in this attempt, the number fifteen, when I finally got the closest thing to a lucid dream driven by myself, the dream was as colorful as the day to day, with only notoriety, the shades of red and orange looked totally different. The strange noise that always seemed only appear a few seconds at the beginning, then, it just seemed to go out, the voices around seem to be much clearer, it was not as cold as usual, it was still cold, but it was more similar to that cool mountain cold, and less ice than before.

After about (I imagine) 20 or 30 minutes, I saw that strange black spot on the floor, the same one my sister noticed in the notebook, but in this case, when she tried to approach me, she stopped for a second, it was darker and darker, on its surface I could distinguish something dark red, and suddenly, it began to draw a huge circle under me, I guess about 4 meters away from my feet, and did not get any closer from there, but it did not seem to stop moving. The truth is that after many years practicing, this strange larva stopped appearing, sometimes I stay longer than the indicated waiting to see if it happens, but that never happens.

This dream allows me to move in and out of my body, with some difficulty at first, you look at yourself as you float around your body, I guess it is as difficult as learning to walk, take many weeks to master this movement, when you want to elevate yourself, you just only descend, when you want to descend, you go up, or you go to one side, or you start to turn in one direction or another. You can not see your hands or your feet, you can feel that you are complete but not see it, until you approach that mirror, the magic mirror, that mirror that following the instructions of several books, recommended you to wash with a mixture of water from a river, lavender oils, powdered sagebrush root (hand-pulverized by the sorcerer who will use it) and a few drops of verbena or amber oil, a mirror with the power to reflect the spiritual world through meditations and lucid dreams, and in that mirror you can see yourself floating, completely and completely.

After weeks and months of practice, you develop your own techniques, you learn to make everything easier, perhaps not faster, but more comfortable, and once you master it after many years, you learn to move (with an undeniable difficulty) without the need for many implements, clearly at your own risk.

Mother's books are plagued by constant warnings, such as, if we do not draw the circle properly, some slippery spirit, some soul in distress, some mischievous pixie, some otherworldly larvae, or other darker creatures, can take control of your body and use it to move through our world, and in many cases, the bodies possessed by souls in distress or naughty goblins, do not distinguish, even within our bodies, between the spiritual world and ours, and may end up in the ways of train, jumping from a very high bridge or from a window, and my mother listed many examples in detail.

He also indicated in his warnings that if you did not have a properly developed clairvoyance, you should first focus on it, because many times some enter the astral plane without perceiving it, and in many cases, it is common for you to find spiritual beings much more advanced, than find yourself wandering outside your body, they send you back, erasing all the memories of what you have seen.

On many occasions my sister and mother warn not to perform the astral projection from outdoor sites, such as parks and gardens, unless you meet someone specialized who can take care of your body while you are there, otherwise, your unconscious body can sleep. and end up somewhere else or worse.

Some warnings are much more curious, "do not try to fly to the moon" (this I have not tried, but the truth can not take me too seriously the warning), "do not approach on the other side of the veil to anything that looks like a portal or a window that moves independently "," do not try to bring anyone with you from the other side "," if you meet other witches, walkers of worlds or something similar, do not bother them, and often take care of them " , "Trust blindly in your intuition, and stay away from everything that does not seem reliable", "do not stay too long away from your body, or this can simply stop breathing", and a warning written in very large letters "if something, a kind of cold sensation, seems to pull away from your body, close your eyes, breathe very deep, calm down, visualize a warm light around your body and try to return as soon as possible, or pronounce one of the spells that you previously memorized to return to your body."

Mother has a whole chapter dedicated to "do not approach oracles", where she specifies, in a suspiciously detailed way, all the reasons why while you make a journey through the astral plane, the world of dreams, the crosses of the veil or the same earthly plane itself, you should not approach situations involving oracles, young people with an Ouija, fortune tellers in session with a tarot deck or a crystal ball, and many more examples, not only because your presence there may be noticed by seers and fortune tellers, not only because your presence can negatively influence the responses of the oracles, but most importantly, the energy emitted by the oracles can cause problems to return to your body, seriously distort your perception of realities and make you lose the sense of direction in the other plane.

In a certain chapter (about 15 pages), mother talks in detail about a certain situation where while moving between planes, she saw something similar to the waves that form in the water on the roof of a house, and she thought it was peculiar, so she She approached and was "trapped" within these waves for some instants, trying to decipher what it was, entered the house (I'm sure this is entirely illegal) and found in one of the rooms a group of five girls playing with a Ouija, while they used it to ask all sorts of trivia, joked with each other about how ridiculous that game seemed to be and claimed that it was just a waste of time, but at the moment that mother approached the Ouija.

All the girls acted suddenly as if they had sensed his presence, mother blew some air into the void, and the girls claimed that suddenly the room felt colder, and while they continued to play, and drinking alcohol, mother could help move the answers off the board with only placing their hands, on the hands of the girls.

But in less than twenty minutes, Mother affirms that the place was full of presences, few like her, the majority were souls in pain that arrived unconsciously at this place, some more conscious spirits than if they noticed their presence there, and in their own words , what she describes as a pair of ghosts, a blue one and a red one, with a demonic and somber aspect, quite frightening, with enormous eyes, and although her skin looked burned and covered with deep scars, it was at the same time somber, as if they were part of the darkness of the place, they made very strange sounds every time they opened their mouths, as if they were trying to shout something and they did not have tongues, it was a heartrending sound.

After an extensive explanation about the spell she used to get out of there and the same as it cost her to do it because she really felt trapped by the place, she details that once she entered the room, her spirit did not go through anymore. No walls floated through the air, when touching the walls they felt like real walls, they did not allow him to leave, and until the moment the girls closed the board, they extinguished the candles, and they opened the doors and windows, she could not leave , not before that, she describes how terrified she felt, because the dark presences in the room seemed to approach her more and more, but they did it very slowly, as if they were afraid to act, and when the term spiritualist session ended, these presences were the first to disappear among the shadows of the walls.

Mother affirms that this was the first time she crossed paths with these spirits on the other plane, but it was not the last time, and that many acquaintances of her have warned her that these dark presences have the tendency to possess the sleeping bodies of women. witches and lead them to suicide, leaving their souls trapped in the veil.

My sister states in the writings, in many chapters, about the dangers of doing these astral trips while traveling by plane, at first it seemed strange, but taking into account that she had a boyfriend whose job was to be a pilot, and many times I took her On flights across the country, this makes some sense.

A curiosity that I find interesting, is that both warn about approaching consecrated sites, temples, churches, among others, because once you approach these places the energy is as heavy as the sea, it is difficult to move inside them and In your surroundings, that feeling is similar to swimming in diver's suits carrying heavy bags on your shoulders.

She also states in her many writings that one of her greatest adventures was to move inside a painting on the wall, in doing so she was in a huge painting that resembled a four-dimensional version (or perhaps more than four dimensions) of the paint, that you could touch the colors, and that all these have different textures, yellow being something metallic and blue something soft like cotton, green feels scratchy to the touch, while purple felt like expensive silk, colors As she describes, they had strange aromas, and the whole room moved around her.

He also describes how surprising it was to unfold himself in certain places (when after a lot of trying he managed to do it), and that on several occasions he came across ordinary people, not practitioners or followers of sorcery, but who possessed the gift of clairvoyance and could notice his presence before anyone else.

Both, as well as several of the authors I had previously read, and I personally can confirm, that the fire is still burning on the other side, but the fire of the altars, the fire in the flame of a candle that has been consecrated, or the fire that lights the night of Samhain or the night of Walpurgis, it does not burn you at all, it is just a lot of very warm incandescent light, but you will not burn in it no matter how hard you can try it.

Mother focuses on detailing the processes and mysteries of the spirit world, and wrote little about the beings that were there, except when it was to warn, it is from one of her writings where I just read for the first time, that in one of his most peculiar encounters in the world beyond the veil, the figure of an old god sitting on the water of the river confirmed to him that he must trust in the power of the angels, and in turn, fear of the presence of these, her, a A spiritualist and a witch who has never been very Catholic, she did not take the old man very seriously, even though his presence "felt like being in front of the greatest and most beautiful thing you have ever witnessed".

But after his refusal to understand these words, the old man she came to visit so often warned him with a noticeable calm "and that they are the Angels, but the new names that the same humans gave to the old creator gods, those who serve an older God, but who do not cease to be like him, who did not need names to be called, but man always believing himself superior to everything, gave them names, and made them look like innocent creatures at his service, being them true messengers of a superior power ".

The words of this man were so clear and precise, that Mother ran back to her body to take note of it immediately, and it was from that time that she began to study the world of angels and great spirits.

My sister on the other hand, not only in this notebook but in many others, dares to detail with great precision all his encounters in the afterlife, from constant encounters with my grandfather, and with his parents, to clandestine meetings with one of her past loves that she died as the victim of a man with a lot of rancor, and that these meetings with her ended only after very long conversations where they kept laughing and remembering, and it was also she who helped him move forward.

Their encounters with diversities of entities, spirits, creatures that do not appear in the books, evil spirits that have given battle on more than one occasion, until higher reunions with old memories of their past lives that remain latent in certain places.

In a small verse from one of her notebooks, my sister relates the next (and please forgive if I lost something in the translation process):

"I've never managed to be in the presence of something as big as an angel, if I did, I would not say it, but walk with your astral body through that gigantic circle of rocks in the middle of the mountain, while the witches invoked the God From the mountain, it felt like submerging your feet in a gigantic pool of pure honey with the freshest floral scent you can imagine, how to anoint mint and eucalyptus oil inside your nose, you feel a fresh breeze as penetrating as it is imposing, but with an exquisite scent of flowers, and suddenly, your feet end up submerging in the pool of honey, and you feel that it has no bottom, that you only sink there slowly, you feel that strange presence touching every inch of your body, that fragrance takes over from you, the warm and soft honey covers you from the feet to the head, you feel that you are floating and close your eyes for fear of what you can see, then you trust, you feel so comfortable, so warm, so sure or, then you open your eyes, and after that blinding and golden light, there you see him standing in front of you, with his roots and feet, with his hands on the branches, with his gigantic crown of shining wood, with his beautiful Smile, and open your arms to receive you, and then... When you wake up you know, that you have never been in the presence of a true angel before, but if you are one day, you should feel very close to this."

It is my sister who has filled entire notebooks with recipes and spells that you can perform during astral travel to move faster between places, to find your body more easily, to dissipate negative energies present in some places, and even how to perform healings on a body physical from the spiritual plane.

She has also tried, improperly and on multiple occasions, to enter the bodies of sleeping people, succeeding successfully after many unsuccessful attempts, because clearly she is very constant about it, she also wrote a complete spell to enter the dreams of others individuals from the spiritual plane, thus allowing to visualize as small movies, the dreams that other people are having, and even influence them turning nightmares into something different or communicating with other individuals from the world of dreams.

She claims to have met on multiple occasions with the spirits that guard dreams, and that she has been present in many more places in her astral body than in her physical body, confirms that some temples are truly sacred, and that if you try to enter, something similar a court of spirits judges you first, no matter what your religious tendency, they only let you in if they understand that your reasons are well-intentioned, but in some places that would seem to be sacred, like certain buildings of congregations of some religious sects more modern, simply nothing happens, in their own words, and mine, is as boring as walking in the park in the post-winter period and before spring, you do not find everything white by snow, or flowered by the weather Everything looks dead, gray, swampy and boring, but full of people making a lot of noise.

My astral travels have not been so interesting, the greatest thing I have personally achieved, walking on the sea, only a few meters, after that I sank, literally in all attempts. The most notorious thing, that I will never forget, and I have commented several times in the past, visiting the site in New York where the twin towers were before, had had some rather traumatic experiences in the past, but this experience, this is something I will reserve for myself, and it is something that does not deserve to be presumed, it is something that I will keep for myself, having visited this site physically some years ago was quite strong, but visiting it spiritually, this is much stronger than I could imagine.

An interesting fact, after a long time practicing, that figure in front of me that I saw every time I woke up, those little feet barefoot in front of me, always inside the circle, was my grandmother, who is still alive, and with whom the truth I do not talk much, it was her that always pulled me back from the other plane, and it was she who warned my Mom about what I was really doing.

Sometimes I appeared outside the circle, just taking care, and sometimes I appeared inside the circle, I still have not learned exactly how I did it, but she somehow entered the spirit world and pulled me back from there.

Anecdote that makes it even more interesting, my grandmother does not live with us, she lives in another state, close to the peninsula, it is somewhat disturbing to know that a person without internet access, and who vaguely knows how to use a telephone, knows what you are doing, when you do it, and seemingly mocks all metaphysical laws without much effort to take care of you.

The last time I met her, at my grandfather's funeral in 2010, we hardly saw each other, we greeted each other, we hugged each other, and because we were in public we did not talk much about it, but that same night at home I curiously asked her why in recent years I had not seen her next to me, and I closed the question with an "if you know what I'm talking about?", she did not even look at me, she only answered while cutting some oranges "it was not necessary, when the chickens walk alone you leave them, but never open their wings", and followed by an uncomfortable silence that I did not know how to interrupt at the moment, she retired to her altar where she spent the rest of the night.

But no matter what she said, even though I was much bigger, and living in another country, it is common to feel her presence around me when I project myself, even several times I have seen her reflection from the other side of my mirror and it is quickly hidden, she has always been fond of magic with mirrors, it is not her specialty, but she has always handled at least the most basic part, it is not uncommon to think that as I write this thinking about her, I can swear by that aroma of vintage tobacco and white rum around me who is here with me watching what I write.

For now, I will continue practicing the best I can and I hope I have answered all your questions about it, which had accumulated in my mail for a long period of time and always affirmed that I would soon answer.

Kisses and Blessings to all, see you at the crossroads.

The Mystical Court of the Witches

The Court of the Witches

Folklore tells us about the different magical courts that lead the world beyond the veil that separates the worlds, and that, moreover, is venerated by the spiritualists of the entire world in different ways and ways.

In much of Europe is venerated the "Court of witches" which is made up of the souls of witches burned at the stake and hanged in public for the practice of their magical art, the souls of these witches do not reach rest or can reincarnate for having been victims of tragic, ignoble and unjust deaths, for this reason the witches prevail trapped in the veil between the two worlds, as inhabitants of a magical infinite corridor that is virtually connected to all the trees and mirrors of the world, which they use to travel and communicate with our world.

These same witches, watch over the safety and learning of the youngest witches and sorcerers, trying to keep alive the honorable practice of nature in the hands of the living.

On the other hand, in Africa, the Yoruba people venerate the souls of the witches who have left, assuring that their presence prevails among us until their names fall into oblivion. Practitioners of the Yoruba faith, consider that the souls of witches are venerated and highly respected in the other world, from where they lead the births of new shamans and seers in the world.

The religions that descend culturally from Africa, as it is the case of the Santería, the Voodoo, the Hoodoo, the Candomblé, the Quimbanda, Umbanda, Palo Mayombe and Batuque, reunite very similar elements among themselves, venerating the souls of the ancestors that make up a magical court of animals that act through local mediums and the forces of nature.

In South America, the 'Court of Witches', which is composed entirely of the souls of the local witches of each country and whose names are venerated and passed down from generation to generation to keep their memory alive, is venerated in the mountains. magic and its essence among the new generations of practitioners.

The witches court leads the world of spirits and they have the power to exercise all kinds of changes in the life of living beings, influencing equally on love, money, health, and family. In the spiritualist tradition it is considered that a witch to die must be honored on the ground where he died (not where he lived) and it is there where he took the power to reconnect with his loved ones, old teachers and family, and from where he will start to undertake his path as a resident of the spiritual world.

In all Afro-Caribbean traditions, the witches court is conjured in the same way, with white candles where the written names of each of the dozens (or hundreds in some cases) of the names of those who make up the local court are burned. Once this is done by the practitioner, the witches court should be venerated and honored every Monday night, placing glasses with clean water, glasses with red wine, cups with hot coffee and a crystal ball, objects of divination, essential oils and perfumes, incense and candles that should remain lit all night in this magical spiritual vault.

The witches court will consecrate each and every one of these various objects in favor of the witch practitioner, and in exchange for their attentions, the practitioner will be respectfully served by the witches from the world of the veil.

Usually, and according to the magic tradition, the witches court is always attentive to every step that the witches make in their way, but they only act if they are called and invoked properly, because they can not interfere if they are not invoked from this side of the living, and that is through a due invocation clearly and loudly by an initiate in the occult arts.

On the other hand, working with the witches court is extremely easy, the promises made in his name must always be fulfilled before the next new moon and strongly punish those who forget to keep their promises in exchange for the favors granted, never grant nothing for free, no matter what you promise to the witches' court, the payment must first be given as a priority and then they will decide how to honor the deal.

Although the court of the witches is made up equally by men and women, by wizards, magicians, and initiated spiritualists, also only receive the name of Court of the Witches, because it is a more general term, the witches of certain countries can invoke separately to "the sorceress court", "the court of the magicians" or "the shamanic court", to refer to doing magical works with smaller groups that live within the same court.

The witches' court is independent of any pagan religion, neopagan or adverse to them, they also act independently to all the spiritual courts, deities and spirits, more like a huge group of local souls and animas than as a specific pantheon.

If you want to work with the witches court, it is always important to remember that their attentions are better received on Monday night than any other day, and they have no distinction of any kind towards groups or individuals who practice, but their veneration and practice must be constant and very serious.

I hope this Post will be very helpful in your daily magic practice.

Blessings.

Orishas of Graveyard

Orishas of Graveyard

Human culture is replete with all kinds of deities and spirits that complement our existence, but not only in life but also in death. Though most of them are adored in life, it is wise to know that many others are venerated after Life, and that is where they are.

Greco-Roman mythology is replete with archetypal gods like Hades and Pluto. The Norse mythology is exceptional, as is the Egyptian culture, full of deities that inhabit the other world (the world of the immortals), and therefore, it is not surprising that devout believers spent their whole lives preparing to die, with a philosophy of life incredibly opposed to modern culture. We now try to force us to see life day by day as the only approach, a philosophy leading us to live a life full of useless superficialities, masks, and trends of the moment that do really contribute nothing, but on the contrary, subtracts a lot from us human beings. The societies before us lived focused on preparing intellectually, morally and spiritually for the beyond, that is, to live life after life.

Such is the case of the Egyptian pharaohs who asked to be buried along with their most faithful slaves and their most important treasures, the Viking chieftains who buried their treasures in secret places to dig them up in the hereafter, or the Greeks who were burned with their best Clothes and coins over their eyes to pay for their journey in the afterlife to the ferryman who would take them to their final destination, just to name the best-known and representative examples of this noble art of "honoring death." Although not far away, we also have the case of Mexican culture with its popular adoration of "Santa Muerte", a cult that has begun to expand in the rest of the world thanks to its colorful festivals and commemorative celebrations.

In the popular culture of Voodoo, the magic Voodoo and the Hoodoo, we also have a large number of deities (orishas, egguns and great spirits, etc...) who are honored in life seeking their favor after death. This is a key practice in modern witchcraft, since the books of magic and Wicca mostly inspire us to prepare ourselves to improve life, without thinking or reminding ourselves that the period of life is only a minimal phase of our complex existence, and the quantity of Time we will spend in this world is so short that after several periods of existence it will only become a fleeting memory among hundreds of new memories.

At home Mom taught us to serve unsweetened coffee by the door and glasses with water under the bed to wake up and calm (respectively) the deceased, and thus gain their favor and consideration when we meet in the other world, honor them every day and gain their trust is in the world of Santeria and umbanda such mandatory practice as a priority, as would any good godfather say, better to win their favor in life that their punishment at death.

Lighting white candles near the window in the moonless nights to give them light and thus illuminate their ascension to another plane, often pray to those who have gone much longer to support the recently deceased to find their way, and once in the meantime, fulfill their pending tasks to enable them to move on without any obstacle.

In this post we will focus on studying in brief three "working with the dead" deities not only very popular, but also very effective at the time of our allies in magic and sorcery, some of them very feared (with very good reasons) and the Other two maybe not so well known but always good to know /

Oya, Obba, and Yewa

Oya, Obba, and Yewa are the three orishas of African culture that work with the dead, joint patrons of cemeteries, Queens of the world of the dead and powerful sorcerers who take great care of their children and devotees without any distinction between them.

They can be honored separately or together, but it is always noticed that the most appropriate method is to honor them at three o'clock to ask for any necessary favors, for if only one is honored, the other two often become jealous and cause all kinds of difficulties.

Oyá Yansá

Oya or Yansa, is the largest Orisha working with the dead, the great magician par excellence, highly venerated in the Yoruba religion, Umbanda, Candomble, Santeria and Vodou in various ways. In fact, she is one of the main goddesses of Nigeria, Benin, and Brazil. In Cuba and Venezuela is venerated in the form of the Virgin of the Candelaria.

Oya (who is the crown mother of my godfather) is intimately bound up with the divinity of death. It propitiates storms, strong winds or hurricanes and sparks, its element is the air itself, he gives the first breath to the baby and the last to the deceased, in the African religion it is believed that when a woman denies the power of Oya (Whether devout or not) is cursing her children with breathing problems and may even lead them to early death to raise them under her breast in the hereafter.

Oya is the patron of the Eggun (the dead), the Egungun, which is the name that receives all the collective of diviners spirits of the other world under her command, and queen of the spirits in general, in fact, all spirits, mayor or minors, give respect to Oya as one of the queens of the other world. With her favor, Oya can turn ordinary men into great diviners and spiritualists, both in this and in the next world.

Oya is known for her violent and impetuous character, even sadistic when time to revenge and protect her children, is in the magical culture one of the most feared deities, lives on the gates of cemeteries. She represents the intensity of the lugubrious feelings, the world of the dead and is symbolized by the spark.

Along with Eleguá, Orunla and Obatalá dominate the four winds. In addition, it is considered the warrior between the orixás besides Eleguá, Ogún, and Oshosi. Oya in the older culture represents the reincarnation of the ancestors, the lack of memory and the feeling of sorrow in the woman.

At the family level, Oya is the daughter of Obatala and wife of Ogun and Shango, was the first to kiss (according to folklore) Babalu Aye, another Orisha for death and patron of all venereal diseases, plague, smallpox, leprosy, and all worldly miseries, as well as all his medicines.

Oya is offered all the copper objects, also fans, masks, real feathers of colors, and fruits of dark colors like grapes and aubergines, also offered black hens, flowers, and leaves of plantain, sagebrush, geraniums, pomegranates and all the flowers that grow in cemeteries, especially those that grow in the vicinity of the tombs.

To get Oya to give favors to her devotees (not Santeria practitioners), she is offered chicken dishes with white rice and eggplants, she also loves pomegranate seeds and dark liquors. She shows no respect for vain or arrogant sorcerers or witches, for she is considered in both worlds as "the greatest sorceress" and for this reason, she does not tolerate those who call themselves the greatest sorcerers in front of her, in fact punishing them by twisting all her spells or flip them against them.

Obba

Obba is the second Orisha in command of death, highly venerated in the world of the dead and highly respected by necromancers by profession. Obba is known to appear wandering in cemeteries in broad daylight dancing with a mask of bright stones, a pale pink dress, and many gold ornaments, when she dances usually covers with her hands her cut ear.

Obba symbolizes repressed love and sacrifice for the beloved, suffering and conjugal fidelity. She is very feminine, strong, regal, feared, energetic, and considered stronger than many male Orishas. They tell the old men that the only one who has managed to defeat her in battle was Oggun on one occasion. Obba is related to the lakes and lagoons, especially those in the vicinity of the cemeteries, together with Oyá and Yewá dwells in the cemeteries and represent the reckless warriors. She is the custodian of the tombs and punishes the robbers of corpses.

Obba is also the daughter of Obatala and Yemaya, sister of Oyá and Yewa, was the lover of Shango, by whom (deceived by his sister Oya) cut off her own ear and was therefore banished, then went to the mountain and later lived in Loneliness in the cemetery. She also had love affairs with Oggun, to whom she gave the anvil and this one taught her to fight.

She is most popular among mediums, especially the fortunetellers who get her favor and the gift of clairvoyance, leaving to her as a tribute, meat stew and roasted duck in the cemetery. In certain parts of Nigeria and Brazil, it is customary to leave stews on pink plates on the tombs of the recently deceased, so that Obba will take care of them in the hereafter until their moment of departure to another deeper world.

Obba is not given much to witchcraft and divination as her sister Oya, but she is well known for helping psychics and mediums to penetrate into the future without the help of other instruments of divination. According to local worship, she does not get along well with the necromancers and makes them die of disease for their opening of the graves and stealing of the bones.

She is venerated in Cuba and Venezuela, and in the surroundings of the Caribbean in the form of the 'Santa Catalina de Siena'.

Yewá

Yewá is the third deity of this group of dead Orishas, daughter of Obbatala with Yemaya (in Nigeria) and of Obatala with Oduduwa (in the cult of Brazil), sister of Oyá and Obba, companion and wife of Babalu Aye, although never lost her virginity.

Yewá is an orisha of a quite dominant character, very severe and demanding. She is always seen as very moralistic and abhors carnal relationships, which she considers to be beyond her practical possibilities. In modern Santeria, it is syncretically linked with 'Mare de Déu dels Desamparats', The Virgin of the Innocents, Martyrs, and Helpless, while in the Caribbean she is venerated in the form of Santa Clara de Asís.

She symbolizes loneliness, containment of feelings, female chastity, virginity, and sterility. She usually dresses (and portrays herself) in a pink dress with a wide copper belt and a crown decorated with many snails. Yewa forms the main part of the Iyamis (the witches) as patroness and owner of them, is venerated as a queen of witches, noble apprentice of her sister Oya, the greater sorceress, but much more practical and perfectionist. It has a character as sweet as severe and strict at the same time. She is venerated as a patroness of witches and takes great care of them, in practice, does not allow improvisation in any kind of spells and charms, demands perfection in every aspect and practice, does not admire or respect the use of "magic by Intuition " like Oya, she likes rituals to be thought out and planned in every detail. She likes her devotees and sons to preach austerity, but in turn, she makes them respectable fortune tellers.

Yewá is the owner of the tomb, it is among the tombs and the dead and lives inside the coffin that is in the tomb. Yewá is the Orisha who owns the cemetery together with Oya, and like this one, it is extensively linked to death. Her cult came from Dahomey and lived in Egwadó. She inhabits the cemetery, is in charge of taking the souls of the dead to Oyá so that it decides where each one will go, she is the one that dances on its tombs.

To obtain the favor of Yewá, young animals are sacrificed to her, females and virgins, and they are offered to him in great banquets with fish, tomatoes, and mani. When she is venerated, divination objects and magic tools are placed next to the table so that she consecrates them and carries her energy and power. In fact, in Cuba, the crowned sons of Yewa enjoy enormous prestige as diviners.

Egunes and Kiumbas

In Santería, Umbanda, Quimbanda, and Vudú, it is known as Egunes or Egguns, the souls of the already disembodied, the deceased and the deceased. While the Orishas (deities) are incarnations of the different aspects of the universe and nature (the sea, love, good luck, night), the egunes are the souls of beings who have lived and perished.

In the different forms of witchcraft found in the Afro-Brazilian cult, it is customary to use the term "egguns" to refer more clearly to souls who live in pain, or who are under some kind of hex or spell that forces them To remain on earth, whether for good or evil, thus differentiating themselves from common souls.

On the other hand, there are Kiumbas, forms of egguns very backward in spiritual evolution, are negative, very dangerous, also somewhat "dumb" and are often made to pass for other egguns, in fact, can take the form of anyone who has perished , And are accustomed to appear before the mourners in the form of a loved one who has just left to stay anchored on the earth for a longer time.

The kiumbas are intuitively treacherous and cheating, watch over their own good and therefore are able to easily deceive poorly indoctrinated mediums and people who plunge into the magical world without sufficient training.

According to Brazilian folklore, the kiumbas possess shamans and spiritualists very young and lacking in practice, leading them to suffer from mental illness, hallucinations, madness and arriving in the majority of cases to commit suicide.

Note: Egguns often help witches and practitioners, although they often do not at the expense of the happiness of other humans, so they must be "handled" (invoked, conjured and worked) with great care.

Final notes

As you may have noticed, African culture is also endowed with a lot of folklore, these three deities of the dead are widely venerated as patrons of witches and diviners, grant all kinds of favors, especially if they are linked to the spiritual plane and are incredible And powerful allies in the other world.

In "modern" folklore it is considered that winning the favor of these deities not only grants great power, it also allows witches to spend more time in the world of the dead to care for their loved ones before moving to another plane.

Iyamis (the Witches)

Iyamis (the Witches)

ÌYÁÀMI ÒSÒRÒNGÁ or IAMI OXORONGA. It is in the Santeria and Yoruba religion, the eternal spirit of the ancestral mother, colloquially known as "the witches". It represents the power generating female life par excellence.

Iyami Oshoronga is the queen of the cult of sorcery. Its followers are witches and witches, who can be white or black, as well as they can be good, bad or neutral. They all form the cult of witchcraft and are known as "Ajogun" or "Ajonjun" meaning "respectable Old Dignitary of the night."

Iyami treasures, guard and cell the mysteries of life, she has the power to manage the natural order as well as the order of life and the power to eliminate as a method of balance through its magic.

Ìyáàmi, maintains the balance of the natural, severely punishing those who violate the laws of IFA. It is very delicate balance and order when it comes to Ìyáàmi, nothing should be done in regard to Òrìsá, or Ifá if the priest does not have proper instruction, since our mother witch, does not allow anyone to make sacrifices without no Possesses a certain knowledge of the priestly function.

Among his enormous powers, Iyami always hears the truth and only the truth, for the lies never reach his ears and the liars die of shame in front of him, he blesses his devotees with good fortune and material goods to live, he finds hidden treasures in The night and bring the ancestors from any world (even if they have reincarnated, she can recognize their souls and bring them wherever they want), erase sad memories and alter memories, is said to grow trees in any corner (even in the More arid lands), has a supernatural dominion of all the elements, to the point that the spirits of nature obey him, worship him, and some even fear him, it is said that when someone is willing to do a great evil on the Humanity, Iyami curses him to commit suicide before committing such an act, as long as he has a witch to intervene, he can ruin the good fortune of anyone who walks in front of him Without her permission, gives witches all kinds of powers, communicates with the trees, animals and all plants, she is the original witch of the bird cult, who visits people at night jumping over their Roofs mounted on a broom and can be transmuted into thousands of birds.

In the African cult, it is believed that Iyami curses a village when dozens of small black birds are flying over it in the morning, when this happens, all kinds of animals are sacrificed to calm their anger and ask for forgiveness.

Iyami was the one who taught Oya (the Orisha of the wind and death) the art of sorcery and all forms of mysticism, art that later Oya (in the Yoruba myth) surrendered humanity for its own good, and also for its Own evil.

Iyami visits the lagoons at night and sleeps next to them, if found by a believer this gives him the gift of prophecy and hundreds of riches, if it is found by an unbeliever, this causes blindness and a martyrdom to death .

Iyami is the one who turns the wishes of the witches into reality, and who manifests his deepest desires in the world, but only Iyami witches who have received their cauldron in an Ifa house can worship and communicate directly with her.

In the cult of Brazil, it is said that when witches die, Iyami keeps a special place next to her in the other world, where she grants them powers beyond the natural and allows them to enter the world of the living at any time Day in the form of birds of dark plumage every 21 days.

By tradition, when the name of Iyami Osoronga (Ìyáàmi Òsòròngá) is pronounced, whoever is sitting has to get up, whoever stands would bow down, for this is a fearsome Orixá (Òrìsà), to whom complete respect is due.

Iyami is sacrificed to owls, owls and chickens, but only the guts are eaten in wooden dishes, she always demands the highest respect, she manifests to her followers through omens and omens always accompanied by an aroma of herbs Fresh, in the cult Iyami is considered as the Orisha of unbreakable curses, in fact other Gods and Orishas fear their power and because of this they pay him enormous respect.

It is believed that from their mystical cult comes the semi-Christian myth of "crossroads demons," for when Africans came to New Orleans, it is believed that they left tributes to Iyami at half the crossroads, and when their Bosses asked them a reason for it, they said it was to calm the demons on the way.

In Africa, Brazil, and Latin America, crossroads are considered as "Iyami bridges," and silver and animal guts are left to gain favor and protection.

To invoke, before setting the sun, at the crossroads, we make an X on the floor, with the index finger, attitude taken before all that represents danger. If we do it during the night, we pass the extended hand to the height of the head, from one side to the other, so that it does not pose, which would mean the death.

Iyami is also the term used in Santeria to refer to the witches who follow the Iyami cult, and to the witches (women or men) who are part of their court in the afterlife, who are paid tribute in Set and they are given to eat at night.

The phrase "feeding the witches" refers to the magical act of opening a hole in the ground by the river to venerate Iyami and his powerful sorcerer's court, throwing cooked food, meat, fruit, milk, wine and honey at Hole and closing it with dirt and dust from mirrors.

The Magical Art Of Crafting Charm Bags / Cover + Preorder

The Magical Art Of Crafting Charm Bags
Cover + Preorder

Finally, has arrived! Here is the cover of my book 'The Magical Art of Crafting Charm Bags'. Is published by Red Wheel / Weiser Books and is specially edited from the hand of the fantastic Author Judika Illes who did a wonderful job and also gives her magic touch, a true blessing, but also, count on the luck that the magnificent Psychic & Witch Devin Hunter wrote a great foreword for this book.

'The Magical Art Of Crafting Charm Bags' is my first book published after my arrival to New York. For this book, I collected my own recipes from my old notebooks and grimoires that traveled with me in the suitcase, had a hundred spells, formulas, and recipes written on small napkins in the cafes and restaurants where I sat down to eat and write every afternoon.

'The Magical Art of Crafting Charm Bags' is my first non-self-published book and is unlike anything I have written and published before. I have decided to take a two-way ticket to those Family roots, stories of my grandmother telling under the moon how she conquered my grandfather, at the hands of my mother weaving sachets of all colors in her old sewing machine, my sisters preparing their aromatic blends of herbs and crystals to find a lover, a new job or some good luck. I have revisited the memory of my dad cooking those tiny, rustic bags of skin that filled with bones and herbs to keep the animals away when he went out with my uncles to fish at night.

Writing this book has been an opportunity to relive that childhood full of magic, to smell the cinnamon that burns in the burners to ward off evil, the light lit in the hall every night to allow the Virgin and spirits to feel welcome every night and Every hour, the corn cobs hanging from the window to attract good fortune, the cauldron of Eleggua full of candies next to the door to never lose course, and the black coffee cups each dawn to wake the dead.

Beyond honoring my family, grandmother and her old books full of spells written in pencil in that letter that only she could understand, my mother and father constantly telling me over and over not to abuse magic, this has also allowed me / to remember myself repeating that same speech word for word years later to my nephews.

I hope that for all readers who get it, this book will be a true handbook full of blessings that will fill your days of happiness, love, well-being and good fortune. Thank God & the Goddess, and all my supporters, today, tomorrow and always.

Blessings

Note: This Book will be available in October 2017 (Samhain) but, you can pre-order the book now on the next links.

Great News!

Great News! I can finally reveal this! My beautiful editor Judika Illes and my publisher Red Wheel / Weiser Books has confirmed that Devin Hunter is working on the foreword to my next book 'The Magical Art of Crafting Charm Bags'.

This is a great honor for me, because I am a follower of his work. When I was just beginning to write my first books and publishing my first essays in local magazines (In Venezuela and Argentina), Devin had already come a long way and had published 'Modern Witch Magazine', and I am sure that Devin would become one of those great authors, whose books eventually became classics of #witchcraft and found themselves in a decade in the indispensable repertoire of every modern witch.

The collaboration of Him in this project is for me, more than an opportunity, it is a true blessing and I am sure, I am sure he will place his vibrant spark and a hundred magic blessings inside and on this Great little Book!

Thank you Devin.

Coeus, God of the Diviners and Father of the Prophets

Coeus, God of the Diviners and Father of the Prophets

Usually in divination, we work with the collaboration of spirits and entities that contact us from different levels to manifest in us their knowledge of the future. Whether they are Deities, spirits, deceased, ancestral forces or others, all of them give us their wisdom, even though it is unfortunate that most have a total ignorance of the forces with which they work. This is due in large part to the lack of seriousness and mysticism that divination suffers today, from what we can blame these “wise teachers” and their rapid learning courses where they promise to completely dominate the art of divination in only 2 or 3 months, and where they focus only on repeating textually the procedures and theoretical symbolism of a book with zero emphasis on what is really important, such as concentration, the development of clairvoyance and contact with the afterlife.

Trying to predict the future and good fortune, without the help of entities more experienced than us, because "we work with our own energy" is just as interesting as self-medicate and not go to the doctor, because you read a medical manual some time ago and you think that this qualifies you to be a doctor.

The human being is born being a seer by nature, a capacity that is lost as we mature and develop other qualities, few and perhaps very few families who do today the possible (according to the folklore that governs them) to keep these qualities active in the younger household.

The great oracles of antiquity knew this truth and were trained from very young to keep alive the flame of cognitive wisdom in them and thus be able to communicate with the higher deities and spirits, such as the Oracles of Delphi, Dodona or the Chaldean Oracle of Mesopotamia.

In these cases, one worked directly in the communication with the deity of the sanctuary, who through constant contact with the "messenger" well-named Pythoness, priestess or diviner, according to the case, strengthened their clairvoyance and showed them a clear field of play that completely evades the personal preferences and arrogant attitudes of current fortune tellers.

One of these entities nowadays is only kept in some textbooks and his adoration has been limited to certain traditional homes where he is still invoked to obtain its divine blessing and its clairvoyance.

This is the case of Coeus, the God of the soothsayers and one of the earliest recorded prophets, a Titan of ancient Greece (Primal Deities before the Olympic Gods). Coeus, is the Titan of Intelligence and Complex Wisdom, son of Uranus (Heaven) and Gaea or Gaia (Earth), Coeus is the Father of Leto and Asteria, this makes him the grandfather of Apollo, Artemis and Hecate.

Coeus represented for Greek culture divination through the stars, a form of divination prior to the development of modern astrology, and became recorded centuries later as the first prophetic God, and according to European folklore, the father of the Prophets.

Coeus, as titan of wisdom and intelligence, was the spokesman of his Father Uranus before humanity and the youngest Gods. Being Uranus (also) a great prophet, in predicting to his son Cronus that this would be betrayed and defeated by his own son (Zeus) just as Cronus did with him.

The above account shows Coeus, an authoritarian and ancient deity, as a spokesman for fate, being him who speaks in the name of his father, becomes the most similar to a diviner who speaks in the name of the spirits.

Coeus had two daughters, who together with their own children represent the two oldest branches of clairvoyance, the same ones that in some way govern different aspects of the clairvoyance or modern prophecy. His daughter Leto, Goddess of the day and light, and her son, Apollo, God of prophecies and oracles, represent the prophetic power of light, heaven and stars, it is they who rule over the prophets who foretell the future and the fortune in solar hours.

His second daughter, Asteria, the goddess of night oracles and stars, and her Hecate, goddess of witchcraft and queen of ghosts, represent the prophetic power of night, darkness, spirits that speak from beyond, and the oldest forms of necromancy, it is they who govern and bless those oracles, diviners, and prophets who predict the future and fortune at night.

Leto and Asteria, are daughters of the Titan Coeus, God of wisdom, and the titan Phoebe, goddess of intellect and mental agility. This makes Coeus, Asteria, Leto, Apollo and Hecate into the first family of Prophet Gods of any Mythology.

In addition to them, we can not forget Artemis (the Moon), who is the twin sister of Apollo and in turn the female part of him, who takes the attributes granted by his father Zeus as Goddess of the hunt and queen of the wood. Although she is not a prophetic deity, it is told in the legends related to the Oracle of Delphi, that for those who came to the temple pythoness seeking answers in the evening hours, it was Artemis who was present giving her wisdom to the Oracle, while her brother Apollo, The regent God of the Sun and the Light of the day rested on Olympus.

If you wish, take these names into account as part of your personal prayers and use them to bless your personal oracle.

Direct family of Coeus:

Coeus (Titan): God of Intelligence and Wisdom, the first soothsayer, spokesman of the sky and oracle of the stars. Father of Leto & Asteria.

Phoebe (Titanid): Goddess of Intellect and mental agility. Mother of Leto & Asteria.

Leto (Titanid): Goddess of the night and the light of day. Mother of Apollo & Artemis.

Asteria (Titanid): Goddess of night oracles and fallen stars. Mother of Hecate.

Apollo (Olympic God): God of the Sun and the light of the day, god of the arts, music and poetry, d of the prophets, regent of the Oratory of Delphi. Son of Leto & Zeus.

Artemis (Olympic Goddess): Goddess of the hunting and the wild animals, queen of the forests and the virgin lands, protector of the pure maidens. Daughter of Leto & Zeus.

Hecate (Goddess): Goddess of witchcraft and ghosts, mother and queen of all witches. Daughter of Asteria.

Indirect family of Coeus:

Perses (Titan): God of destruction. Father of Hecate with Asteria.

Note: Artemis as Greek Goddess, is part of the Pantheon of the Twelve Olympic Gods, is the Goddess of hunters, forests and wild animals, her later cult as Moon Goddess was given for various historical reasons:

Her image was found in various temples of Selene, a titanid and goddess of the moon, where Artemis and Hecate were venerated as "other lunar deities."

Her most recognized images in the art, represented with a Moon on the head that represents a crown and in certain paintings, is mistakenly identified as Artemis, Goddess of the moon and the night.

By direct association with her brother, being Apollo the God of the Sun and the day, the complementary connotations in scriptures after the decay of Greece were attributed to Artemis.

Like her association with Selene the lunar Goddess, also there were engravings of Artemis in the temples of Eileithyia, the goddess of the Parthians who was also venerated like a lunar deity.
