Urban witchcraft in these times, will it be for money?

Urban witchcraft in these times, will it be for money?

Greetings and hugs dear reader, if you have come to this post today is because you could surely identify with the title, and although this is a subject that would give us a lot of material to cut, try to be as short as possible, that if, do not be surprised if in the near future I will give you a continuation or second part of the post (as I have done before).

This is a subject that always brings some controversy from various sides, some always associate religions with money, and makes a terrible criticism about it to the different churches, religious ministries, and most popular institutions because of the income they manage, and they are based on this argument to ensure that esoteric stores, botanicals, and temples, are merely mere excuses to make money at the expense of the "suffering" that afflicts other people, yes, it is quite likely that people who listen to these words, never see them participating in a Sunday in the local church or during a sabbat celebrating the lunar phases and the equinoxes in the company of colleagues and friends, so in many cases, unfortunately, this argument is only supported by those who believe that "All religions" (and that includes for them, covens, sects and all kinds of groups and meetings for spiritual purposes) They are a fraud.

On the other hand, there are those who complain about it arguing that witchcraft is made up of a group of people who "at the expense of knowing how to do one or two things" want to charge you an eye for their services, I really do not know answer with respect to these people, because I know many with the same argument, but the truth I have never studied much.

Now what I can contribute to this conversation from my personal point of view and experience are basically two things; the first, nobody pays for something they do not believe in, and it is just that it is so, the problem is when due to their lack of faith in something, these people decide to wash the heads of all the individuals around them arguing things like " God does not exist "," witches do not exist "and the typical" the church already has a lot of money ", which only creates and promotes more prejudices than we already have, at least in the case of witchcraft and paganism, we have enough to deal with racism, homophobia, Nazi feminism, sick machismo, "academic" sorcerers who spend most of the time telling you how and when to do things because "nobody does it better than them" and several pseudo-gurus who come to our area to sell themselves as the last messiahs of the new era.

A second point that I can bet on this conversation, and this is something important, is a matter of conventional beliefs and beliefs of origin deeply rooted in the minds of people.

My usual "show me how you dress and I'll tell you who you are ...", I usually apply it to these cases, for those who do not understand it, it's not about fashion, fashion or brands, just the opposite, after having finished my university career in digital marketing and advertising, and take an intensive course of "image in social networks", enter a labor field that leaves almost immediately because it was plagued by individuals who live more attentive to the brand of clothing they use and its number of Instagram followers, than what they ate or where they slept, (except when they have the opportunity to eat something organic and beautiful, because that would look perfect on Instagram and Facebook).

I can swear that I met an Italian-Venezuelan model, with more than twenty thousand Instagram followers, who paid for the most expensive brands of shoes and clothes, but everyone in the agency had to provide money so that she (as a client) could buy the lunch and several times he had to sleep in the office, because he did not have a roof of his own, good friends to give him a hand or even money to pay for a hotel.

And as that example I have many, the most incredible happened on a certain day of March, I do not remember exactly what day but I am aware that March was running because I was coming back from a trip from the Amazon, and my family only traveled to the Amazon to end of February and we returned in mid-March.

That day the boyfriend of the model, another model whose accounts of social networks were run by my agency, and outnumber all the fifty thousand followers, well known in the agency because he always brought bottles of some European liquor from one of his trips, he asks me about the rumors in the agency about my second job as a tarot reader in a local store, he asks me for prices, time and others, and when I answer the number he immediately tells me "that's too expensive, or that you were famous", to which I responded immediately and with my typical tone of "gods give me patience", because what I charge for consultation is my work, it's not a hobby, I'm not charging you anything extra or from another world, when a tarotist charges for its services, is not charging a price that I invent from nothing, in addition to having a reference cost of the market, the tarotista charges for the time and dedication that it will offer, for the use of its energy, and for the access to knowledge that took many years to acquire, which in my case were many years.

Added to the above, what I charge for consultation is not even 10% of the cost of those bottles of liquor that you bring as a gift, and as you are a professional model, and charge your customers for your time in front of you. to the camera, this is what we do, in addition to that it is nothing what a tarotist charges (in any country in the world) compared to what a doctor will charge you to say "it's just stress, it comes back in a few months" and "Maybe it's cancer" six months later, just as it happened with my mother a couple of times.

All religions in a certain way are institutions, except the Catholic Church because they themselves assume and imply that they are a "religious and philosophical" institution, and institutions must be maintained in some way, in the case of esoteric and botanical shops , we must make something clear, yes, if it's about money, because they are stores, usually with employees, they pay taxes, electricity, and most likely other services, and also, it's not just about money, because unlike a supermarket where you go and choose the vegetables, meats and fruits of your preference without consulting with anyone, among a huge variety, in the esoteric and botanical stores usually the people in charge are there to give you advice, to treasure your time, to advise you about what you need or about what you are looking for, many times you will even be in charge of the store who will clarify what exactly you need to do forget your situation, and many times that you need you do not know, because many times people who enter a botany looking for a solution, do not know what is exactly the problem they have, but they know that is where they will solve it.

When you attend the esoteric shop to buy your candles, incense, books, oils, herbs and crystals, that person who is attending you is also giving you their time and patience, is advising you according to their range of knowledge and experience, and in addition to this is placing at your disposal a variety of specific items that is always better to buy there live, than buying them online where your relationship with the product is much colder (not to say lacking) because you personally do not you chose from a variety of items, on the contrary, you selected it virtually and a manufacturer simply chooses it and sends it to you using a mail company, which is why I have always recommended buying instruments and tools (if you enter your possibilities) in a local store, and limit internet sales to books that you can not get in the store and craft items like those you can get in E tsy.com where the variety is amazing and the artisans are great.

But that something seems expensive or "out of your reach" has more to do with your beliefs of origin and parenting model, than with the true cost of things, it is a matter of priorities, just as a model can choose to buy liquor European and designer shoes, being this for them more important than food, rent, or a spiritual session that allows you to understand the reasons behind your doubts and prevent the future, just as they are in the right to choose what is what you consider most important for you in life, and nobody can force you to believe otherwise, but we must always evaluate using logical reasoning, if something is really "expensive" or "a complete scam" from the use of the reason, and not evaluate these concepts from the ego, ignorance and prejudice.

What if everything around witchcraft revolves around money?

The truth is that yes and no, yes, because you want to accept it or not, everyone around you revolves around money, at least on the material level, food, clothing, school, academic studies, your health, there will always be money involved, but you should not see money as an enemy, but as an energy transition that allows you to exchange something for something of equal or sometimes more value. And at the same time the answer is no, because the fact that something revolves around money, that is, money that lives in the middle, does not mean that something is bad or negative, look at the universities, the institutions Academics, hospitals and even your job, all this has to do with money, but this is not a negative thing.

Another thing that I want to limit is the enormous respect and support I feel for people who dedicate their lives to work in esoteric stores, religious stores and especially botanical, because beyond being very brave to dare to do something that will surely lead to scrutiny public, in addition to having the money, resources, and often the contacts to devise a business model, they prefer to opt for the difficult way and dedicate themselves to work in the esoteric field, not for money, but because this gives them a basis to promote and make known that faith and belief that they love and appreciate, and is a way to connect with other believers of similar ways or even the same way.

And you, do you think that witchcraft is just something about money?
